Event Navigation

tES Workshop, basic principles of tES, tDCS workshop, tACS, transcranial electrical stimulation

Our one-day tES workshop is an excellent starting point for those who are new to transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) and are looking to introduce this technique into their research.

The workshop covers:

  • The physiology of transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) and the differences between transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS)
  • How to prepare a tES study, including electrode preparation, setting stimulation parameters and blinding options
  • Safety principles and contraindications in tES studies
  • Discussion sessions on how to integrate tES into your research programme

This workshop is hosted by Professor Michael Banissy of Goldsmiths, University of London at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury.

Looking for a more advanced course? We also offer a two day Advanced Applications of tES Workshop which will run on 4-5 Dec 2018 in London, with Professor Sven Bestmann, UCL.
