Satellite Workshop: Introduction to Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation

Event:
CPNN+ Neurotechnology and Pain Workshop
Location:
Xfi Building (Streatham Campus) University of Exeter
Date:
July 2, 2024.
Time:
14:30 - 18:00 GMT

The Brainbox Initiative is excited to announce a special workshop at the CPNN+ conference at the University of Exeter. This workshop is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of non-invasive brain stimulation techniques and their applications in state-of-the-art research.

The workshop will take place Monday 20th Feb at 14:30-18:00 (GMT) and will cover a range of topics related to NIBS. Attendees can expect to learn about the fundamentals of TMS as a technique for non-invasive brain stimulation, gain insights into the research applications and uses of tES devices, see first-hand demonstrations of NIBS equipment, and examine how to carry out navigated TMS-MEP. This workshop is highly recommended for all interested in researching in non-invasive brain stimulation.

The workshop will be led by Brainbox Initiative experts, who will provide attendees with valuable information and insights that they can take back to their own research. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with the workshop leaders and other attendees.

Registration for this workshop is an addition for all attendees who have registered for the CPNN+. However, spaces for this event are strictly limited, so we encourage delegates to register soon to avoid missing out. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to expand their knowledge of non-invasive brain stimulation and to network with other experts in the field.

CPNN+ have two days dedicated to educating early career researchers in neurotechnology and pain Throughout the two days there will be in-depth talks from 10 speakers followed by interactive workshops to finish the days off.

CPNN+ Speakers:
Tuesday 02 July:
Thomas Graven–Nielsen (Aalborg University)
Dr Christopher Brown (Liverpool University)
Sophie Clarke (Exeter University)
Anna M. Zamorano (Aalborg University)
David McGonigle (Cardiff University)

Wednesday 03 July:
Sharmila Khot (Cardiff University)
Teo Goroszeniuk (Consultant in Pain Medicine & Anesthesia)
Jen Davies (Cardiff University)
Edith Elgueta Cancino (Birmingham University)
Mae Mansoubi (Exeter University)

In addition to the Brainbox Initiative Satellite workshop, Dr. Elsa Fouragnan will be hosting a workshop on Wednesday 3rd July on an introduction to ultrasound neuromodulation.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from the best and to advance your knowledge of NIBS techniques. Register now for the CPNN+ meeting and Introduction to non-invasive brain stimulation workshop below.
